Charice Conquers Korea Anew

After Japan and Thailand, Charice went to Korea for the last leg of her Asian tour.

Last July 24, Charice‘s third appearance on the musical variety show “Star King” was aired in Korea. This is the show that became instrumental for Charice to get noticed by Ellen DeGeneres more than two years ago. Her first performance in said Korean tv program garnered millions of hits on YouTube.

Her return to Star King became a little emotional as Charice presented the host Kang Ho Dong with an autographed copy of her self-titled CD “Charice” and a personal handwritten sign in Korean, translated “Thank you so much Star King ~Charice Pempengco.”

She had a duet with Korean pop star So Hyang performing the Whitney Houston-Mariah Carey song “When You Believe.” She also sang her trademark “Bodyguard Medley” and had a sing-off with Korean singer Luna performing “One Moment In Time.” Charice advised her to “believe in yourself” that brought tears to Luna’s eyes.

Aside from Star King, Charice also guested in another Korean program called “Chocolate” where she sang her international single “Pyramid.”
