Jake Takes Muay Thai Training Seriously

Jake Cuenca has learned to love the martial art that his character in ‘Agimat presents Elias Paniki’ practices, Muay Thai.

“When I first heard that I needed to undergo Muay Thai training for my character, I really got excited,” Jake shared in an interview. The actor added that though he regularly works out, Muay Thai is something he has never experienced before, “Bago para sa akin ito eh. Kaya when I was immersed noong first day of Muay Thai training ko, natutunan ko agad mahalin yung art. It’s not easy pero it’s really fun.” Jake also mentioned that he plans to continue learning Muay Thai even after Elias Paniki if given the time.

Some of the cast members of ‘Agimat presents Elias Paniki’ also took Muay Thai training. Sam Pinto, Pinoy Big Brother Double Up ex-housemate, was also happy to reveal that she enjoyed every minute of the training she went through. “I don’t go to the gym talaga. Kaya when I trained for Elias Paniki, nanibago ako. I’m not used to moving a lot talaga (laughs). Suprisingly, I started looking forward to the Muay Thai training after my first experience,” Sam disclosed.

In the coming episodes of ‘Agimat presents Elias Paniki’, more fight scenes are yet to burst as more albularyos are killed by their toughest enemies, the mangkukulams. As this unfolds, Elias is tasked to attack what they believed to be the camp of the mangkukulams, only to realize that it was a trap.

Don’t miss the engaging episodes of ‘Agimat presents Elias Paniki’ as Jake sets forth to another adventure this Saturday, after TV Patrol on ABS-CBN.
