Jovit Baldivino Wins Pilipinas Got Talent

16-year-old siomai vendor from Batangas, Jovit Baldivino, is the first grand winner of "Pilipinas Got Talent" (PGT) on ABS-CBN.

Jovit, a YouTube sensation and crowd favorite, got 48.81% or almost half of the total votes, besting 11 other finalists for the P2 million cash prize.

The Velasco Brothers and Baguio Metamorphosis both made it to the Top 3. Each got P100,000. The remaining 9 finalists, on the other hand, each got P50,000.00.

Here is the ranking of the 12 grand finalists based on percentage of votes they received:

1. Jovit Baldivino – 48.81%
2-3. Baguio Metamorphosis / Velasco Brothers
(15.39%, 7.27%)
4. Ingrid Payaket – 5.87%
5. Ezra Band – 5.46%
6. Ruther Urquia – 4.45%
7. Alakim – 2.94%
8. Keith Clark Delleva – 2.32%
9. Sherwin Baguion – 2.15%
10. Luntayao Family – 2.07%
11. Maria Jeline Oliva – 2.07%
12. Markki Stroem – 1.20%

The results of the voting were announced Sunday night at the Araneta Coliseum, and was aired live on ABS-CBN.

Meanwhile, “Pilipinas Got Talent” is the most talked-about topic worldwide on Twitter on Sunday. The hashtag “Pilipinas Got Talent” was no. 1 on Twitter trending topics as of 8:41 p.m., even way ahead of the much-anticipated 2010 FIFA World Cup.
