American Idol Contestant Jarrod Norrell Handcuffed After Refusing Judges’ Rejection

Jarrod Norrell, American Idol season 9 hopeful, sang Amazing Grace but his audition was anything but graceful.

Norell, from Marietta, Georgia, started his audition by saying “Gotta give it up for God” and rendered a not so dignified version of the classic Christian hymn.

Judge Kara DioGuardi was disgusted by his performance.

“Oh, Good Lord! What was that? Do you really think you’re a good singer? Honey, you sound like a lawnmower,” she said.

The contestant refused to leave after the judges said no and sang again. He had to be escorted out by security and had to be handcuffed by police.

As he was leaving the judge’s room, he said, “That’s the way it’s gotta be, you gotta take me out in cuffs.”

It was the most disgraceful audition ever on the popular reality show (CLICK HERE TO WATCH THE VIDEO).

Meanwhile, the guest judge for this leg of auditions is Kristin Chenoweth, star of Pushing Daisies and a guest on Glee.
