A few years ago, a community leader in Cavite came to Manila to help save her neighbors from losing their homes. After a tiring morning, she and a companion went to lunch in a mall in Makati City. But before they could even find a place to eat, they were greeted by an explosion that almost claimed their lives.

The leader is Leah Imbon, one of the survivors of the “Glorietta blast,” which killed 11 people. This Thursday (Jan 22) on “I Survived,” Imbon will share how she recovered from the explosion that destroyed half of her face and caused her blindness.
