‘Born to be Wild’ Features Sea Turtle Rescue Tonight

It’s the first Wednesday of 2010, and Born to be Wild begins the year with a heart-stopping wildlife rescue.

Known as a pawikan nesting site, Guimaras attracts many sea turtles. But the turtles in turn, attract poachers and vandals who take them for food or as pets. Doc Ferds visits the local pawikan rescue center to come to the aid of a hawksbill turtle showing signs of distress. But the center is far from civilization and Doc Ferds and the team need to transport the sea turtle on boat and on land to give him aid. But will the frail sea turtle even survive the journey?

In Iligan, Lanao del Norte, Kiko Rustia visits the majestic Maria Cristina Falls, one of the largest in the country. Behind enchanted tales, Maria Cristina proves why indeed it is a legendary and spell-binding work of nature.
