Aljur Abrenica is dubbed by Meg Magazine as a "rising star" in their December 2009-January 2010 issue.

Voted earlier this year as RP’s Sexiest Man, Aljur Abrenica is undoubtedly one of the big surprises of 2009. His love team with Kris Bernal is being groomed by GMA-7 as the counterpart of the uber-strong Kimerald pair of ABS-CBN.

Aljur and Kris surprised everyone when their soap opera “Dapat Ka Bang Mahalin?” conquered the nationwide tv ratings. Although their second soap, All My Life, and their first movie (lead role) “Nandito Ako…” struggled to attract viewers, their mother network is still banking on them this 2010 with a primetime fantaserye “The Last Prince.”

19-year-old Aljur won the title Ultimate Hunk in Starstruck last 2007. right after his Starstruck stint, the young Pampangeño won Best New TV Personality in the Star Awards and Most Promising Male Star of Movies and TV in the Guillermo Mendoza Memorial Scholarship Awards.

Aside from being chosen as one of Cosmopolitan’s Centerfold Hunk this year, Aljur landed an endorsement deal with the country’s top apparel brand, Bench. He was also named by S magazine as the Sexiest Bachelor of 2009.

If he will play his cards right, Aljur can be a force to be reckoned with come 2010.
