‘Kinatay’ Bags 2 Awards in the 42nd Sitges International Film Festival

The Philippine entry to this year's Cannes Film Festival won two awards in the recently concluded 42nd Sitges International Film Festival in Spain.

Kinatay, also known to have the international title “The Execution of P”, has just won Best Director for Brilliante Mendoza and Best Original Soundtrack for Teresa Barrozo in the Spanish filmfest.

This is the second international Best Director award won by Brilliante Mendoza for this film. The first was at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival in France earlier this year.
