ABS-CBN chairman and chief executive officer Eugenio “Gabby” Lopez III and ABS-CBN Foundation managing director Regina “Gina” Paz-Lopez were among this year's Outstanding Manilans.

The Outstanding Manilans award is part of the celebration of the 438th anniversary of the City of Manila and given annually to recognize and award men and women who have contributed extraordinary and invaluably to the benefit and development of the City of Manila and its people and whose achievements have substantially contributed to the honor and prestige of Manila as the country’s capital.

The 2009 Outstanding Manilan Awardees are:

* Sen. Manuel Villar, public service

* Marixi Rufino-Prieto, print media advocacy

* Henry Sy Sr., business development

* Eugenio Lopez III, telecommunications and broadcasting

* Regina Paz Lopez, environmental advocacy

* Jaime Augusto Zobel de Ayala, entrepreneurial leadership

* Miguel Enriquez, public service in tri-media

* Teresita Quirino, education

* George Ty, corporate social responsibility.
