In The Heights composer and actor Lin-Manuel Miranda and Sex and the City star Cynthia Nixon announced the nominations for the 2009 Tony Awards at The New York Public Library for Performing Arts Tuesday (May 5) in New York City.

The 63rd Annual Tony Awards will be presented on Sunday, June 7, 2009 at Radio City Music Hall in New York City. CBS will broadcast the ceremony, which recognizes Broadway productions of the 2008-2009 season.
