‘Twilight’, a romantic-fantasy film directed by Catherine Hardwicke and based from the best-selling Vampire novel of Stephanie Meyer, has topped the weekend box office after raking in 70.6 million dollars.

Twilight also set a new record for the biggest opening for a film directed by a woman.
