Danielle Castaño Ready to Win the First Miss World Crown for RP

She's Janina San Miguel's replacement to represent the Philippines in the Miss World 2008 Pageant and she has a big goal - to win the only crown a Filipina hasn't won.

A woman of beauty and substance, Danielle Kirsten Muriel Castaño, is off to Johannesburg, South Africa this coming Saturday, November 15 to compete for the 57th Miss World Beauty Pageant, which will conclude on December 13 at Sandton Convention Center.

Castaño admitted that she really feels the pressure to bring the first Miss World crown in the country.

“I think the pressure is wala pang naging Miss World from the Philippines and I would like to be the first Miss World from the Philippines,” Castaño told TV Patrol in an interview during her send-off party at the Mandarin Suites at the Gateway Mall in Cubao.

19-year-old Castaño who was raised in Marikina will be competing against 106 other candidates from all over the world.
