List of Philippine Entries for the Academy Award Best Foreign Language Film

The Philippines have submitted films for consideration for the Best Foreign-Language Film category of the Academy Awards since the inception of the category in 1956, when the Italian film La Strada won the honors.

Since then, we haven’t been nominated for the prestigious category. 1953’s “Genghis Khan” was under contention but did not make it to the final 5. In 2006, “Ang Pagdadalaga ni Maximo Oliveros” was nominated in the Indie Spirit Awards but failed to make the cut in the Oscars.
