‘For The First Time’ Registered Highest Opening Weekend

Although the Richard-KC movie "For The First Time" holds the record for the highest opening weekend this year so far with a whopping P78,966,833.66, "A Very Special Love" still holds the highest grossing pinoy movie of 2008 record with an impressive P168,168,171.60 on its 5-week run.

Please take note that the final grosses of both films from Star Cinema (For the First Time and A Very Special Love) are not yet posted. On the 5-week gross of “A Very Special Love”, it’s already the 3rd highest-grossing pinoy film of all time after Sukob and Ang Tanging Ina. The figures it need to beat is P186.41 million registered by the Kris Aquino-Claudine Barretto horror flick. We are still waiting for the final gross of both movies.
