After My Girl and My Name is Kim Sam Soon, another koreanovela is about to have its Philippine version.

Full House is a romantic comedy series from Korea starring Song Hye Kyo (Endless Love) and Asian heartthrob Rain. The hit asianovela was aired in Korea in 2004 and was shown in other countries as well including the Philippines. The tagalized version was aired by GMA 7 in 2005 and it became the second highest-rating Asianovela in the country with a record of 52% (The first was Meteor Garden).

Since the tagalized version was aired on GMA and it’s their no. 1 import from Korea, the kapuso network is planning to produce a Philippine version of the said tv series. It will be the third series from Korea that was adapted on local tv, the first was My Girl starring Gerald Anderson and Kim Chiu and the second was Ako si Kim Samsoon (original was My Name is Kim Samsoon) starring Regine Velasquez and Mark Anthony Fernandez.

Here’s the sitch: Rumor has it that the role of Jessie Han, the female lead in Full House, is already reserved for Heart Evangelista because she has a resemblance with Song Hye Kyo (the original Jessie). But other kapuso princesses are also being considered for the coveted role including Nadine Samonte, Ehra Madrigal, Michelle Madrigal, Yasmien Kurdi, Iwa Moto, Katrina Halili, Sheena Halili, Glaiza de Castro and Jennylyn Mercado.

Rhian Ramos is out of the list because she will already star in LaLola, the Philippine version of the Argentine romantic series. Marian Rivera, on the other hand, can also be a contender for the Jessie role but the buzz that she will be the pinay “Rosalinda” is more louder.

And who will play the role of Rain (Bi)? No buzz yet but of course we can only pick from GMA’s elite group of leading men like Dingdong Dantes, Richard Gutierrez and Dennis Trillo. Since Dennis is starring in the upcoming “Gagamboy” and Dingdong could be Marian’s leading man in Rosalinda, then it could be Richard Gutierrez. If this happens, Richard and Heart are reprising their Asero love team to Full House. Unless GMA will make another surprise pick for the role just like when chose Mark Anthony Fernandez as “Cyrus” in Ako Si Kim Samsoon.

Incidentally, the title of Vic Sotto and Pia Guanio’s sitcom on GMA is also “Full House” but spelled differently as “Ful Haus.”
