Melanie Marquez is Eliminated on Celebrity Duets 2
The former beauty queen sang Peggy Lee‘s “Fever” last week together with Vernie Varga. The judges were entertained with her costume and gestures but a little critical with her vocal performance. She received the lowest number of text votes and got eliminated Saturday night, the third episode of the show.
She was joined by her brother Joey Marquez, another beauty queen Carlene Aguilar, and fashion designer JC Buendia in the group who received the lowest number of votes.
Seven contenders remain in the competition: wellness guru Cory Quirino, renowned fashion designer JC Buendia, MMDA Chairman Bayani Fernando, Miss World semifinalist Carlene Aguilar, comedian-politician and Melanie’s brother Joey Marquez, Ka-Toque chef JL Cang, and football player and innerwear endorser Phil Younghusband.
