Marian Rivera is Indeed FHM’s Sexiest Woman in the Philippines for 2008

FHM Philippines released the final results of their annual poll 100 Sexiest Women in the World and it was confirmed via Pinoy Entertainment Portal that Marian Rivera finished first, Katrina Halili second and Angel Locsin third.

The star of GMA’s top-rating fantaserye Dyesebel became the first non-covergirl to top the annual poll of the best-selling men’s magazine.

Here’s is the final tally of online and text votes for the Top 3:

1st Marian Rivera – 316,135 votes
2nd Katrina Halili – 123,239 votes
3rd Angel Locsin – 121,388 votes

This year’s global winner is Transformer hottie Megan Fox, who recently topped the FHM US poll.

Last June 3, 2008, TV Patrol World reported that Lobo star Angel Locsin is currently leading FHM’s Sexiest Women poll with a margin of more than 7,000 votes from second placer Katrina Halili.

After two weeks, news proliferated on email, blogs and websites that kapuso star Marian Rivera took the lead from Angel Locsin. The Lobo star even dropped to 4th place behind Katrina Halili and Ehra Madrigal.

Here is the last update of the top 10 as of June 13:

1. Marian Rivera
2. Katrina Halili
3. Ehra Madrigal
4. Angel Locsin
5. Diana Zubiri
6. Anne Curtis
7. Cristine Reyes
8. Iwa Moto
9. Angelica Panganiban
10. Jennylyn Mercado

And on the night of June 27, 2008, FHM released the final tally of votes and it was confirmed that Marian Rivera is the new winner, the sexiest pinay of 2008 if you must.

It’s interesting to note that among the women vying for the top spot, only Marian Rivera hasn’t been a covergirl for FHM. Even before Marian won the role of the Philippine “Marimar,” the staff of FHM already invited her to grace their cover but Marian’s manager did not commit and said “soon.” Now that Marian won the title of FHM’s Sexiest Pinay, is this the perfect time for her to grace the cover of the best-selling men’s magazine? Find out in the July issue of FHM magazine.
