Mario Lopez is People Magazine’s Hottest Bachelor of 2008

34 year-old actor and fitness guru Mario Lopez has been named People’s Hottest Bachelor. Check out other bachelors who made the cut.

BRODY & FRANKIE

“We were both like, ‘Who is this guy that’s always got girls?'” Delgado, 27, says of meeting his “wingman” and Hills costar Jenner. Since pairing up in 2004, the pals admit that only once has a girl come between them. “We went on a boys trip to Miami after he broke up with his girlfriend,” says Jenner, 24. “All of a sudden, they rekindle. Next thing you know, I’m in Miami by myself. I had the couch. It was a nightmare.”

DAVID COOK

He can sing in front of millions of people, but the 25-year-old American Idol winner admits that his stage bravado doesn’t always carry over into his personal life. “Looking a pretty woman in the eye and convincing her I’m worth taking a chance on is different. It takes a specific brand of guts, and it’s not the kind I have.”

TERRENCE HOWARD

The Iron Man star, 39, has a brutally honest take on love. “I’m the most arrogant person you’ll ever meet, and any woman I date has to know that,” he says. “Life is too short to pretend that you’re okay with somebody when you’re not.

BRYAN SPEARS

A TV and film producer, Britney and Jamie Lynn’s older brother says he prefers the behind-the-scenes life. “I can go to any party I want, but I can also slip away and not have paparazzi follow me.” Still, Spears, 31, shares a few similarities with his famous younger sister: “We are both sensitive. We get our feelings hurt easily, Britney and I.”

GERARD BUTLER

The 300 star, 38, says he hasn’t always had luck with women. “A few years ago, I went out with a girl and we were having a great time. She went to the toilet, and I thought, ‘You know what? I’m also going to go to the toilet.’ Maybe it took me a little longer to get out of there than I thought. I came back and she was gone. So I said to the waiter, ‘What happened?’ The waiter said, ‘She came out and stood around the table and then she left.’ I ran outside and she was nowhere to be seen. I never saw her again!”

JAMES BLAKE

The tennis star says he tailors his hairdo according to the kind of women he wants to attract. “In college I had braids, dreadlocks, cornrows – even the Kid ‘N Play high-top. Back then it seemed girls all had that ‘bad boy’ in mind they wanted to date. Maybe that is why I was doing the crazy hair. Now I’ve grown up and tend to date girls who have figured out what they like in a guy. Hopefully they are more interested in a clean-cut guy who will treat them right.”

BRET MICHAELS

The Poison frontman and Rock of Love star thanks his famous blond hair for his luck with the opposite sex. “It creates this Tarzanesque, likable bad-boy image. It says, ‘I am a wild child. I will take you on a Harley ride, then make passionate love to you. And should you be attacked by a lion or an idiot at a bar, I will protect you,’ ” says Michaels, 45. “To put it simply, long hair works for me. It rocks.”

ANDY & AKIVA

The Saturday Night Live star and SNL writer first met at their Berkeley, Calif., middle school. Since then, they’ve fine-tuned their pickup act. “We get a giant trench coat, and one gets on the other one’s shoulders, so we’re like a giant,” says Samberg, 29. Explains Schaffer, 30: “We’re into really tall girls.”

HUNTER JOHANSSON

Scarlett’s twin brother – he’s younger by three minutes – says his famous sister helps him out when it comes to meeting women. “She tells me how girls think. When I’m stuck, I call,” says the 23-year-old, a campaign organizer for Barack Obama. “She’s set me up on dates. It wasn’t with anybody famous. It was with some school friends – all very beautiful, wonderful girls.”

ADAM LEVINE

The Maroon 5 frontman reveals his dealbreakers when it comes to relationships. “If she says, ‘I want you to start cutting your toenails more frequently,’ I will say, ‘Good idea. I will change that.’ If she says, ‘I don’t want you to watch the Lakers game,’ I’ll say, ‘Let’s break up,’ ” admits the singer, 29. “You have to strike a balance.”

THE GOSSIP GUYS

The stars of Gossip Girl – Penn Badgley, Ed Westwick and Chace Crawford – say that being on one of TV’s hottest shows doesn’t help the dating scene. “I’m new to American dating,” says Westwick, 21. “Back home in England, a night out at a pub is great. Now I’ve graduated to the dinner stage and the whole conversation thing. I’d rather grab a drink, be around music, with other people’s friends around as well. It takes the pressure off.”
