GMA Network Earned P2.3B in 2007

GMA Network Inc. achieved an all-time high earnings in 2007 according to reports.


In a statement, the network said its consolidated profit grew 18 percent in 2007 to P2.30 billion from P1.96 billion the previous year 17 of its television programs made it to the Top 20 most-watched shows of 2007.

The first top 15 shows were from GMA with Marimar, Kamandag and Zaido as the top 3 most-watched program in Mega Manila according to the summary report released by AGB Nielsen Philippines.

Marimar, Kamandag, and Zaido, all produced by the network, are considered as the Philippines’ three most watched programs in 2007.

The average total day rating of GMA in Mega Manila in 2007 was 17.7 percent against ABS-CBN’s 14.3 percent. Mega Manila TV ratings account for nearly half of the total TV households for AGB Nielsen’s National Urban TV Audience Measurement.

Consolidated gross revenues reached P12.05 billion last year, nine percent higher than P11.07 billion posted in 2006.
