Heart Evangelista is the New Darna?

There are speculations in the kapuso network that Heart Evangelista is the most likely to be picked for the next Darna role in the upcoming GMA fantaserye "Captain Barbell Meets Darna."

A GMA executive mentioned that the possibility to give the Darna role to their newest contract star is very high.

It was reported earlier that the Darna role was reserved for Marian Rivera but since she is now playing Dyesebel which could run until the end of this year, the role is now open.

It was also reported before that Marian preferred the Dyesebel role than Darna because she don’t like to be compared to Angel Locsin, the former GMA star that last portrayed the super heroine. However, Marian denied the “preference” issue and said that she’s not choosy on whatever role being offered to her.

And when asked if the role was given to her, Heart Evangelista answered, “Why Not?#8221;
