5 Pinoys Semifinalists in Voice of McDonalds Global Singing Competition

voiceofmcdo.jpgOver 3,600 McDonalds employees from 53 countries participated in the 2008 Voice of McDonalds Global Singing Competition. The 3,600 entries were trimmed down to 35 semi-finalists and five of them are Filipinos! Find out who they are and how you can support them in this global stint after the jump...


The Philippines submitted 2 entries and they both made it to the Top 35. They performed last Saturday on Shall We Dance on ABC 5. They are:

Paulina Bacarat
(Song: True Colors)

Mary Margaret Yu
(Song: Son of a Preacher Man)

Aside from the Philippine entry, 3 pinoys representing the branches abroad that they are working with also made it to the Top 35 and they are:

Candido Revilles from Canada
(Song: The Long and Winding Road)

Michael Pimentel from Belgium
(Song: Son of a Preacher Man)

Syrell Ramos from Canada
(Song: Let It Be)

The top rated singers after online voting will become Global Finalists to compete for top honors at McDonalds Worldwide Convention in April 2008. The finalists will be announced on December 17, 2007.
