Southeast Asia dominated the Miss International 2019 pageant with delegates from the Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand, and Indonesia all eagerly waiting who among them four is this year’s winner.

But it was Miss Thailand, Bint Sireethorn, who emerged as the first-ever Miss International from her country during the pageant’s finals held at the Tokyo Dome City Hall in Tokyo, Japan. It was a surprise win from the 26-year-old because she’s not included in the prediction lists of various pageant websites which mostly rooted for Uganda, Indonesia, and the Philippines as the possible winners.

Our very own Bea Patricia “Patch” Magtanong ended her Miss International journey as one of the 8 finalists. The 25-year-old lawyer and model addressed the issue of gender equality in her speech during the final round of the competition.
