Our very own John Fernandez Raspado from Baguio City was named Mr Gay World 2017 during the pageant final in Maspaloma, Spain on Wednesday, May 10, 2017.

Raspado is the 9th winner of the annual pageant and the first ever Philippine representative to win the title. Last year’s winner Roger Gosalbez from Spain relinquished the title to the Filipino candidate who also raked in a number of special awards including Best in Swimwear, Best in Formal Wear, Best in Closed Door Interview, Mr. Online Vote, and Mr Social Media.

Candido Arteaga from Spain is 1st runner-up, Raf Van Puymbroeck from Belgium is 2nd runner-up, Marco Tornese from Switzerland is 3rd runner-up, while Alexander Steyn from South Africa won 4th runner-up.

“Itong pagkapanalo ko ay hindi lamang sa aking pamilya ngunit para sa mga baklang katulad ko na may prinsipyo at layunin sa pinaglalaban,” Raspado wrote on the official Facebook page of Mister World Philippines.
