Considered as the top favorite in the Over 25 category of “The X Factor UK” this season, 32-year-old Filipino mom Ivy Grace Paredes was forced to drop out of the competition due to Visa issue.
According to The Sun, Paredes’ US Visa application was denied because of an issue in her past.
Apparently, the Filipina singer breezed through the Six Chair Challenge and would have to compete in the Judges’ Houses round of “The X Factor UK” where the Overs’ final six will be cut in half. Since her mentor is Sharon Osbourne who lives in Los Angeles, and she can’t fly to the US because her Visa application was denied, she was forced to drop out and her slot was replaced with another Over 25 contestant who did not make it through the Boot Camp round.
Here is a statement from “The X Factor UK”:
“There was an issue with her application being approved. That meant she was not granted a visa in time and sadly had to withdraw from the competition.”
Looks like we no longer have a reason to watch “The X Factor UK” this year.
