ABS-CBN Releases Statement on Korina Sanchez’ Resignation

Veteran journalist Korina Sanchez has resigned from her DZMM morning program "Rated Korina" to focus on her postgraduate studies at the Ateneo de Manila University according to a recent statement from ABS-CBN.

ABS-CBN AdProm executive Eric John Salut announced on Twitter last January 4 that Korina Sanchez will no longer have a radio program on DZMM titled “Rated Korina.”

Here is the official statement of ABS-CBN as sent by the network’s spokesperson Mr. Bong Osorio regarding Sanchez’ departure:

Korina Sanchez is currently on leave from her morning program on DZMM to concentrate on her postgraduate studies at the Ateneo de Manila University. This was planned as early as middle of 2013 when Korina informed ABS-CBN management about her intentions to focus on her studies. Korina will continue to be seen on television as anchor of “TV Patrol” and “Rated K.”
