PH Networks Bag 13 Nominations at the Asian Television Awards 2012

The Philippines clinched 13 nominations at the 17th Asian Television Awards: 6 for ABS-CBN, 3 each for GMA-7 and TV5 and 1 for ETC.

The 17th Asian Television Awards is happening on December 6 at the Shangri-La Hotel in Singapore.

Here are the nominations bagged by the Philippines per network:

Best News Program:
“Bandila: Sendong’s Wrath”

Best Music Program:
“ASAP Rocks (Gives Back)”

Best Talk Show:
“The Bottomline with Boy Abunda”

Best Current Affairs Presenter:
Korina Sanchez for “Rated K”

Best Actor in a Leading Role:
Coco Martin for “Maalaala Mo Kaya – Kamao” episode

Best Actress in a Leading Role:
Sharlene San Pedro for “Maalala Mo Kaya – T-Shirt” episode

GMA NETWORK

Best Adaptation of Existing Format:
“Survivor Philippines: Celebrity Showdown”

Best Actor in a Supporting Role:
Gabby Eigenmann for “Munting Heredera

Best Comedy Performance by an Actor/Actress:
Michael V. for “Bubble Gang”

Best Single News Story/Report:
“Bilang Tao: Kubeta”

Best General Entertainment Program:
“Talentadong Pinoy – Battle of the Champions 2012”

Best Lifestyle Program:
“Chef vs. Mom”

Best Adaptation of Existing Format:
“Project Runway Philippines”

Meanwhile, Filipino actor Arthur Acuna is nominated for Best Actor in a Supporting Role for his role in the Singaporean Network-produced “The Kitchen Musical.”

Last year, the Philippines bagged 7 nominations and won for Best Talk Show courtesy of ABS-CBN’s “The Bottomline with Boy Abunda” and the Best Theme Song courtesy of the Boy Christopher Ramos-composed “Ikaw Ang Buhay Ko” for TV5’s “Star Confessions”.
