Melason Faces Tougher Challenges in ‘Melason in the City’

How can two lovers raised in the province live through the fast and busy pace of the city life?

Can they still fulfill their dreams for their families even if they’re busy with their newfound fame? Find out on Monday (Apr 5) at 10am when “Pinoy Big Brother Double Up” couple – Melisa Cantiveros and Jason Francisco – embarks in a new journey towards their dreams in “Melason in Da City.”

“Melason in Da City” is ABS-CBN’s follow up to hit “realiserye” “Melason In Love,” which followed the love story of Melisa and Jason after “PBB Double Up” and employed connivances to prove the strength of their relationship.

“Melason in Da City,” meanwhile, focuses on the adventures and misadventures of the lovebirds as real showbiz celebrities while they are left on their own and finding their places in the city. But more importantly, it’s about trying pursuing the dreams they have for their families. Melisa has to cover expenses for her ailing dad’s surgery while Jason is bent on getting a home for his family in Mindoro.

In the first episode of their new weekday show, Melai and Jason search for a place to stay and deals with a handful of potential landladies and landlords. Witness the wacky hunt of the duo as well as their second attempt to have the mall date they have been pining for.

Melai and Jason, also known as “Melason,” first won the hearts of the public inside the PBB house with their undeniable chemistry. They proved that they are the “Prinsesa and Prinsipe ng Masa” when their show “Melason In Love” got high ratings, even without them knowing they were actually part of a program.

“Melason In Love” didn’t only launch them as a legitimate “loveteam” but also ushered a multimedia experience never before offered in the country. Aside from catch-up episodes of the program at http://melason.abs-cbn.com/, premier Melason content such as exclusive footage and photos were also available online at http://tfcnow.abs-cbn.com/ and http://www.iwantv.com.ph/. This offer will continue for “Melason in Da City.”

Melai and Jason are very pleased with their newest assignment. “Sobrang happy kasi hindi mahirap. Walang script. Masaya lang,” Melai said. Jason, meanwhile, is happy about getting another job.“May kakayahan pala akong kumita. Pinaghihirapan ko. Akala ko, hindi ko magagawa, pero may pag-asa pala.”

The two are also part of the cast of “Impostor” with Sam Milby and Maja Salvador and “Kokey@Ako” with Vhong Navarro and PBB host Toni Gonzaga.

Follow how Melason will make their dreams happen on the funny and romantic “realiserye promdi heart,” “Melason in Da City,” Mondays to Fridays beginning April 5, 10am sa ABS-CBN with same day replays at 6:30pm on Studio 23.
