Kris Aquino defends Marian Rivera regarding the "pregnant" and "plastikada" issue being thrown at the primetime queen by some members of the press.

For the nth time, the biggest news tackled on The Buzz last Sunday was not about any kapamilya star but about the kapuso actress of the hour, Marian Rivera.

Last Sunday, Karylle’s guesting on The Buzz became controversial after Boy Abunda caught her off-guard by asking the question if Marian is pregnant. Karylle took the bait by not answering the question and just giving a mysterious smile.

Apparently, Marian Rivera was offended with the said “smile” as she broke into tears during the press conference of Desperadas 2 last Monday. Another issue during the said press con was a member of the press said “plastikada ka” directly to the primetime queen.

With Marian Rivera getting all the blows from the press, Kris Aquino played a good samaritan by defending the kapuso star on The Buzz last Saturday afternoon. Kris Aquino doesn’t believe that Marian’s breaking into tears during the Desperadas 2 press con was scripted (another issue brought up by the Buzz).

During the Point of View segment of the Buzz, Kris made the following statement right on:

“She [Marian Rivera] is the biggest star right now. Malaki talaga ang Marian Rivera na pangalan because in 2008, 2 back-to-back hit shows. Let’s admit that, highest rated na mga shows so mainit na pinag-uusapan talaga tapos may love triangle pa!”
